Together they went to a sports school in Berlin, where Ullrich showed great cycling talent. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, Jan Ullrich turned professional and joined the German team Team Telekom. A comet-like breakthrough for the young athlete.

In 2006, Jan Ullrich's cycling career ends with a bang. The German is suspended from his team due to suspicion of doping and may not participate in this year's Tour de France. He flees to his villa in Mallorca, where he develops a massive alcohol and drug addiction and hits rock bottom when his family abandons him. To this day, he continues to struggle to process the past and rise again.
