Summary Monsignor Michael McCorristin was a powerful influence in his community for over 60 years. To his parishioners he was affectionately known as 'Iron Mike'. This moniker referred to his indefatigable work ethic which had him doing concrete work around his parish in his 80's. But it also referred to his solid faith and belief in the Catholic Church and a strong Catholic education.
