If You're So Smart

Vox Populi is a black comedy about an experienced politician suffering from a midlife crisis. When he comes into contact with the common-man's logic of his new in-laws, this has a far-reaching effect on both his political and his personal life.

Angela was 8 years old when the first McDonald's opened in East Berlin - Since then, she has been fighting against the curse of her generation: to be born "too late" at a time of global political depression. Coming from a family of activists, her sister chose the world of business and her mother abandoned overnight her political struggle to move alone to the countryside.

Set years after the events of 'Upstate Story,' the film finds Ellis Martin with a new job as a freelance videographer. His most recent assignment has him scouting locations for a filmmaker and takes him to the very town he grew up.

Paris 1577 - King Henri III gives famous couturier Pic Saint Loup a crucial diplomatic mission. He must go to Spain to make a magnificent gown for the wedding of the King's nephew to the daughter of a Spanish noble. The trouble is that the real creative brains behind Saint Loup's outfit is his Moorish assistant, while his perfumer is a Marano Jew and his hairdresser is out, loud and very proud. And Catholic Spain, in the grip of the Inquisition, is no place for Arabs, Jews and homosexuals (Saint Loup is anything but heterosexual). To make matters worse, his secretary is an undercover Protestant plotting revenge for the St. Bartholomew's Day massacre and the father of the bride turns out to be the Chief Inquisitor of Cordoba.

For many 19 year olds freedom from home and their parents leads to sex, drugs and rock and roll. For those more daring, more wild and more stupid, there is always fringe theater.

Based on the novel by Nathaniel Hawthorne, this classic story follows a family feud and an ancient curse that binds them together in one gruesome way.
