Hush, Hush

Fact-based story about a 1975 cover-up of a shooting by two white members of the Boston Tactical Unit. While on stakeout on a suspected getaway car used in a armed robbery, the two gunned down a black man who entered the car. The two claimed the man had a gun and they shot in self-defense. Police investigation decided it was a rightful shooting. The man's widow knew her husband would not be carrying a weapon and became determined to prove her husband's innocence. She hired a former cop who had become a lawyer to prove her case. Working with his four sons, the lawyer team takes on the police force in what eventually proved to be a landmark legal decision.

Dilip, spoilt and careless grandson of wealthy Rai Bahadur, is in love with film actress Nayantara and wants to marry her. However, Nayantara wants to marry him only for his wealth. Rai Bahadur totally disapproves this. However, film actor Ashok Kumar knows the truth as he also loves Nayantara. Dilip, unaware of Nayantara's ulterior motives, deceives Rai Bahadur time & again. On a day, Rai Bahadur with the help of his doctor friend, plays a trick. He pretends to be on his death bed and asks Dilip to change his ways. Dilip tries to assure him that he is out of the alliance with Nayantara and is in love with a nice girl who he plans to marry with. Rai Bahadur asks him to bring that girl in. Helpless Dilip ropes in Kiran. Rai Bahadur likes Kiran and hires her to take care of his house and himself until Dilip marries her. Unwillingly, Dilip co-op with the situation but falls in love with Kiran as he is now aware of what Nayantara wants. But he cannot marry Kiran as Nayantara starts blackmailing him at the pretext of some photographs she has in her possession. She threatens to sue Dilip but Ashok Kumar comes in and saves Dilip.

Psychological narrative avantgarde film about a wealthy young businessman who consecutively falls in love with a classy English woman (Pearl), a Russian sculptress (Athalia), and a naive working-class girl (Lucie). Overpowered by weakness, the coward sidesteps the obligations that love affairs impose: rather than living up to his dates he takes his sports-car from an ultra-modern garage and speeds to the fashionable beaches of Deauville. On his way, he is fatally hit by a descending swallow. The film is divided into three segments each of which consists of events the woman experienced. These sequences are embedded in scenes in which each of the three women is telling and casting her mind back to her own love affair. Thus, present, future and past merge and cannot be distinguished clearly. The intertwinement of several layers of time experience, recollection, telling and showing have been regarded as a source of inspiration of Alain Resnais and this film prefigures his "L'Année dernière à Mariënbad" to a certain extent.
