Flossenburg was created as a work camp, but disintegrated into another death camp by the end of the war. Arbeit Mach Frie is a German term for work makes free. For the prisoners of Flossenburg Concentration Camp, freedom was often found in a shallow grave.

In Leipzig East German people are protesting for freedom, civil rights, and democracy. Party officials prepare to resort to violence in a state which suppresses its own citizens and keeps them under constant surveillance.
