How to Survive Being Single

Sebastian prepares to get married. But his romantic proposal ends up becoming a nightmare when a video reveals his girlfriend Lucia is cheating. With friends help, Sebastian ponders where his life is going and how to survive being single.

Devastated by his breakup, Lucia's infidelity, public humiliation, and a disastrous audition with the eccentric and acclaimed director Adán Farré, Sebastian joins a shady and sinister support group called "The Temple of Smiles", whose leader is an ex-member of the pop group RBD. It promises him instant happiness through unconventional techniques. Fabiana tries to remain neutral in the conflict and decides to listen to Lucia's side of the story. Lucia has been ostracized by the group and reaches out to her for advice. At the same time, Fabiana tries to deal with Gonzalo's constant messages. She mistakenly sent him a nude pic during a full-on sexting sesh with one of her fuckbuddies and promptly deleted it. Gonzalo is convinced that Fabiana loves him in secret and that the nude pic was meant for him. He is obsessed with getting it back no matter what and resorts to questionable and increasingly absurd methods to try and hack the Whatsapp server. Daniel, overwhelmed by work, surprised and depressed after the sudden and unexpected breakup between Sebastian and Lucia, is having a crisis and doesn't know whether to propose to Mafer or not. Mafer, increasingly worried for Fish and Sebastian's mental welfare, starts having doubts about Sebastian's support group and decides to carry out a thorough investigation that unveils the darkest side of The Temple of Smiles. Fish tries to conceal Hemingway's tragic death from Yaneth but ends up confessing and their relationship ends. Brokenhearted, Fish joins the ever more radiant and optimistic Sebastian in his search for instant happiness and, just like his friend, joins the sinister Temple of Smiles.

Tired of hearing Sebastian pine for Lucia and eager to help him get back into the dating world, Sebastian's friends organize a party to welcome him to singledom. He is still unsure, so they help him out by creating a Swiper profile for him and getting him the perfect date. He agrees to the date but under one condition: EVERYONE must go to the same venue that night. Sebastian's date seems to be going awry, so he reaches out to his friends for advice. Unfortunately, they have plans already. Gonzo tries to sabotage Fabiana's chance of meeting a prominent professor, Fish gets tangled in a very expensive date and Mafer and Daniel have a moment of revelation that will change their relationship forever. After a failed date, and ready to give up, Sebastian discovers that the love of his life may not be found in an app.

Sebastian and Fish try their damnedest to find Julieta and distribute flyers around the city to get information about the girl with the unicorn pin. Lucia gets ready to shoot her first scene with Sebastian and confides in Fabiana. Fabiana advises Lucia to not rock the boat for now because conflict on set would be bad for both of their careers. While shooting their first scene, in the aftermath of their breakup, Lucia and Sebastian's emotions go overboard. Adán Farré, the director of the film, is more than pleased by the stars' passionate performance. After going to a baby shower, Mafer and Daniel start hanging out with two married couples. While Mafer is impressed by their wisdom, Daniel is becoming concerned with certain aspects of the engagement. Mafer and Daniel decide to not tell their single friends that they are seeing married friends, to avoid making them jealous. The problem is, they are not the greatest liars. Gonzalo has a chance to invest in a new dating app called Love Ride, which combines the best features of Uber Pool and Tinder and aims to unite two strangers on a romantic trip around Mexico City. Gonzo persuades Sebastian to use the app but the experience does not succeed in taking Julieta off of Sebastian's mind.

The trials that Adán Farré puts Sebastian through, to assess his level of commitment, are increasingly brutal and borderline illegal. Even so, Sebastian won't allow either Farré's methods nor Lucia to get in the way of showing that he can be a serious actor. Fish is also seeking commitment... with a cam girl he falls in love with and is trying to save. Gonzo wants to make him understand that she is following the same script with all of her clients but Fish insists that this is real love and will do anything for her. Mafer is also determined to do anything to convince Jaureguiberri to choose her. Fabiana doesn't buy into that but promises Mafer not to tell Daniel, so she keeps it quiet. Daniel, on the other hand, is anything but quiet. He makes it clear to his father that he won't work for him in exchange for his help with wedding costs, so he will have to find another way to pay for his wedding. Luckily, Billy Boy goes partying, Daniel saves the day with the investors from Monterrey, and impresses the right person so, perhaps, he might solve all of his problems after all.

Sebastian and Fish take a class about hitting on women. Fabiana deals with the aftermath of a one-night stand. Gonzo meets a trans woman who makes him question his ideas about sexuality. Sebastian finds a path leading closer to Julieta.

Juliet and Sebastián start a relationship. Fabiana accepts to do a three-way with Rocío and Carlos. Fish gets "Despechuga2", a porn movie with an actor that seemed very much like Sebastián. Mr. Ariza orders Daniel an important presentation. Sebastián presents Julieta to his friends, who are invited by Fish to watch "Despechuga2". Billy Boy sabotages Daniel's presentation and he gets fired.

Sebastian's in love with Julieta. She suggests having breakfast with the group of friends to get to know them. They end up falling in love with her, welcoming her into the group. However, Fish is sure that Julieta is hiding something.

Sebastian and Lucia's film doesn't come out as they'd hoped. Daniel confesses to Mafer about his job. Fabiana feels like a fish out of water now that Gonzo's not chasing her anymore. Fish gets back with Melodi after her cosmetic surgery.

Sebastián and his friends arrive at Julieta's funeral where has to spend time with her ex boyfriends. Daniel tries to reconcile with Mafer. Fish seeks to calm Melody's exaggerated displays of sorrow.
