The Regiment
Discover the rich history of the U.S. Army's oldest active Infantry Regiment, and watch new soldiers take on the 3-week Regimental Orientation Program as they strive to master the basics of drill and ceremony - necessary to conduct ceremonial and memorial affairs in Arlington National Cemetery. Each week gets progressively harder as the soldiers are taught how to build and customize their Army uniforms from scratch, train themselves to stand for 75-minutes at the position of attention, and learn the unique weapons manual and marching sequences required for their time of service in the Honor Guard.
