Ramdas, his wife, Savitri, son, Prakash, and daughter, Sunita, live a lower middle-class existence in Bombay. They would like to get Sunita get married, and soon receive a proposal through Champabai for her to be married to Prem Kumar Saxena. They find the proposal suitable and Sunita gets married to Prem, and moves into his house. Prem lives with his possessive mother, Kantadevi; his elder crippled brother, Surender; and a younger unmarried brother, Bittoo, who is having an affair with their maid-servant, Lily D'Souza. Sunita finds out that she has virtually no respect, is ill-treated, belittled, and slapped around, just because Ramdas was unable to pay the entire dowry sum. Her brother attempts to help, and attempts to secure some money to appease Sunita's mother-in-law, Kanta, but not only is he unsuccessful, but also gets killed in the process. Lily confides in Sunita that Kanta is quite capable of feeding her poison and killing her, as she had done to Prem's first wife. Now Sunita is at the mercy of the Saxena family, and the only way she can get rid of her problems is by killing herself.

My father's suicide has been the driving force behind my work since 2009. I began by closely examining my family's impeccable 16mm archival footage. Consisting of hours of beautiful film shot by my Grandfather, this began my journey into my family history and the nature of the archive. An interest that was sparked by my obsession with the death of my father, and which culminates here with a piece focusing quite clearly on his death. Consisting of archival footage from my father's childhood and my own, along with footage shot by myself at the site of his death, this video piece is truly a succinct portrayal of my visceral reaction to the knowledge of my father's suicide.

In a small town in the taiga an eighteen year-old waitress falls for a visiting police inspector.

Through the eyes and ears of an old abandoned apartment block in the center of Berlin, 'Lichtenberg' tells stories from five different periods of recent Berlin History. A Weimar murder, a Nazi meeting, an East German family's escape, the arrival of two 90's squatters and finally, a woman who hopes to host a young Syrian refugee in her flat. Collectively the stories, framed against the reality of an ever-changing, ever-gentrifying Berlin, ask the viewer to consider that history belongs to these old buildings.

Fourteen-year-old Rustam lives with his mother in a village; his father was killed by the Russian mafia. After his father's death, Rustam tries to provide for himself and his mother without resorting to illegal money-making schemes. But his dream is to join a music band. The title of the film refers to an Azerbaijani fairy tale about saving a princess from a house with 40 doors; no one has succeeded in opening the last door, and thus its secret remains hidden. The villagers have named their village the 40th door as well.
