1945 - after the disarmament of all German soldiers and officers by the Allies, there should never be a Wehrmacht again. 11 years later, however, the officers are on everyone's lips again: Erich von Manstein planned Hitler's war of aggression and became the idol of the new Bundeswehr. Hans Speidel, who led Hitler through conquered Paris at the time, became the highest military officer in the Bundeswehr. And Reinhard Gehlen, Hitler's former chief spy, became the Federal Republic's news chief and adviser on enemy issues. What remains is only the "Legend of the Wehrmacht that stayed clean".

With the aim of finding material against the class enemy - the Federal Republic - a research team made its way to Warsaw at the end of 1964 to scour the "Polish investigative agency for Nazi and war crimes". You will find incriminating material against the West German elites with a Nazi past. Albert Norden announced: "This book contains the names of more than 1,800 leading NAZI functionaries and war criminals who are heavily incriminated and who are today unhindered in key positions in the West German state and economic apparatus or who receive high state pensions for their responsible activities in the Third World get rich".
