Heavy Craving

Set against the 2002 Gujarat riots, a woman accidentally meets her tormentor after eleven years. The encounter lays bare old wounds, and she finds herself torn between forgiving her tormentor or taking revenge. A psychological magnification of the contemporary social fabric, the play delves deep into the human psyche and the emotions one experiences after a traumatic event.

The boy Kim moves with his family from the countryside to a ghetto in a big city. He does not do too well in school, and that makes him an easy victim for the hard core bullies in the new school. When the group leader is moved to a private school, Kim is accepted in the gang - as long as he provides cigarettes for the other members. This of course leads to a confrontation with the school teachers, his family and eventually the gang members.

In 1985, amid confusion, fear and hate, a new disease, AIDS, becomes the focus of dressing room conversation for a group of actors in a community theatre.

The marriage of Anna and Christos deteriorates over time, going from bad to worse. The couple's crisis is obvious, and Christos tries to obtain sole custody of their children. Their older daughter, Sapfo, already has a boyfriend, while young Alexis is taken by his father to his mistress, Sonia, for his erotic initiation. His father is unaware, however, that Sonia is also the lover of certain other men, such as Agis and Takis, namely the father and brother of his wife. The entire, complex secret comes to light when Anna discovers her husband's infidelity from a mutual friend, Vasilis, who has been in love with her for a long time and discretely keeps her company. Anna assigns the "Sonia case" to a private investigator, while in the meantime she has started working and supporting herself, having decided to separate from her husband. Upon leaving, she takes along the children, who have already experienced the unpleasant consequences of domestic disharmony - with unexpected results: Sapfo gets pregnant; her boyfriend dies in a car accident, and Alexis fails his school exams.

Despite his parents' oppositions, Mehran marries his beloved girl, Taraneh. After a while, Mehran's father is going abroad to get his sickness cured. Mehran goes to him to say goodbye
