Before going on a UN peacekeeping mission to Bosnia 13 years ago , Bolkovac, 51, was a police officer in Nebraska. She specialised in sex crimes, was nicknamed Xena: Warrior Princess, and had a 95 % conviction rate. She eventually signed up with DynCorp, the private contractor providing American personnel for the UN mission in Bosnia. The war was only recently ended and the country's legal infrastructure was in disarray. Then one day the body of a skimpily dressed Ukrainian girl came floating down the River Bosna. Soon after, a Moldovan girl was found wandering the river banks.

Linda has been suffering from a congenital heart defect ever since her birth. She managed to reach 30 contrary to medical predictions. But, with another operation looming, she feels a need to spend what might be the last weekend with her two sisters, so they start a short journey from Hamburg to Paris.

Follows two students, Lily and Matthew, as they struggle to find their true inner-selves through art and love. While this is happening, however, social conformity consumes their high school, creating popular kids, bullies, and people hiding who they are. Set in the modern social media age, the film captures a coming of age story in a raw, realistic way, that doesn't shy away from topics people are afraid to talk about.

Psychologist David Hale learns that his fiancée, Ann Page, has strong psychic powers. However, she falls under the influence of jewel thief Donald Duncan and agrees to marry him instead, apparently because he resembles her dead father. Ann accompanies Donald to his mother's cabin in the mountains, where she discovers her husband's true character. David is compelled by professional curiosity to follow the couple, and rescues Ann when the brutish Donald attacks her. That night, Donald's mother stabs her son while retrieving some stolen jewels, unaware of his identity. An operation to save Donald fails, leaving David and Ann free to marry.
