Heart of Darkness

Two brothers, after failing to reinvigorate an Irish gang in Hell's Kitchen and informing upon their associates, languish in a suburb in the Pacific Northwest after being placed in the Witness Protection Program. The older brother, having taken nicely to the quiet life attempts to help his younger brother adjust. Their older sister, displaced due to her brothers' choice in lifestyle and forced to relocate with them as a condition of their deal, remains begrudgingly and sarcastically a part of their lives. The youngest brother continues to attempt creating a version of the life he feels destined for while his older siblings tolerate the fallout.

Unable to repay a substantial gambling debt to mob boss North, Alan Beckwith concocts a last-ditch scheme. He also assigns "hitman wannabe" Squint to both keep an eye on Alan and "do the deed" when the time comes. But as the year progresses, Alan falls in love with Beverly, befriends Squint and decides he doesn't want to die. But how can he convince North to allow a 100 grand to slip through his fingers?

Bengali-speaking Monalisa lives a middle-class lifestyle in Mumbai along with her mom and wheelchair-bound dad. After she matured, she suffered a heartbreak as her boyfriend broke off with her. While enrolled to learn music, she is mocked at, but is encouraged by her new music teacher, Jay Mathur, who also moonlights as a freelance reporter. Both eventually fall in love, she introduces him to her parents and both approve of him. Little do they know that Jay, whose mother left him, and his father, a businessman, Ajay, allegedly killed himself, is under police surveillance, suspected of killing Sunil Saxena, Iqbal Khan, and Veeru.
