Haunted Poland

Somewhere in rural Louisiana, on the banks of Mississippi River, four disparate characters end up living in a house together. Louise is a frustrated painter who inherited a house when her grandfather died a year ago. Pascale, a geomorphologist from France, came to study global warming but now cannot return home because of a newly acquired fear of flying. E.A., an old friend of Louise's grandfather, came to visit and is left without a backup plan once he learns of his friend's passing. Luke, also a painter, takes Louise up on an offer to set up in her studio, soon moving into her life as well. The story of these four unlikely housemates wanders between documentary and fantasy, clarity and ambiguity, and builds a sense of mood from the awkward moments and seamless flow of everyday life.

While vacationing in Corsica, Mr. Barnes of New York witnesses a duel between Paoli and a British naval officer, in which the Corsican is killed. Marina, Paoli's sister, vows a vendetta against the slayer, but the only clue to his identity is the name "Gerard Anstruther" engraved on his pistol. In an art gallery in Paris, Mr. Barnes sees a picture, painted by Marina, of the duel scene, and his interest brings him under suspicion. Barnes later meets Enid Anstruther, an English girl who admires the painting, and he follows her to Nice. There he discovers that Gerard, who is Paoli's murderer, wishes to marry Marina. Her guardian, Count Danella, plots to have Marina wed Gerard, then reveals to her that he is the killer of her brother; Barnes, however, proves that Gerard lent his pistol to a fellow officer who later confessed to the slaying. The count, defeated in his scheme, is killed by Tomasso, who mistakes him for Gerard; and the lovers are happily united.

A young man from a privileged background grows up burdened by the expectations of his family and social class.

Saliya is a leader in a violent underworld gang reputed for notorious activities. As a result of not paying his due money for one of his contracts, he takes away Sewwandi, the daughter of the man that owes him money. She is kept hidden where Saliya falls in love with her. Because of her negative response she is badly beaten and admitted to a hospital, where she meets an old friend, Kumara, now a journalist. He later finds out who Saliya is and what kind of a situation is Sewwandi's. Kumara risks his life and runs away with her. This makes Saliya both sad and angry. He wants to get the girl back and kill Kumara. In the meantime, Kumara meets a rival gang leader and joins his underworld team. Kumara loses his girlfriend when she thinks he's having an affair with Sewwandi. Saliya finds the couple and a bloodbath ensues.

During an experiment in the scientific laboratory, an emergency occurs. To prevent the spread of deadly virus, five employees are quarantined, and such extreme situation forces them to reveal their true nature.
