Hamida

Summary Hamida (Amor Aquint) is a poor young Arab boy who is befriended by Renaud (Francis Lefebvre), the grandson of a wealthy plantation owner (Jean Davy). The boys become fast friends in spite of the colonial system that encourages separating the two cultures. When Hamida dies because of medical neglect, Renaud feels the first pangs of social and cultural injustice.
