Our young protagonist, Henry Sorin, undergoes lucid nightmares relating not only to his abusive past but a strange cloaked deity within an abandoned house. The story is told through the dark realm of Henry's nightmares and his cold, bleak life in reality; as the disturbances become too much for him to take, the truth is slowly exposed, and Henry can do naught but come to terms with the horror of reality.
