War correspondent and Director Dr. Valentin Areh travels to Bosnia to mark the 25th anniversary of one of the worst atrocities in Europe since World War II. Documentary presents the Srebrenica massacre in July 1995, when more than 8,000 Bosniaks were killed. We already have some documentaries about the fall of Srebrenica, but this one is quite different. Author made this film without any personal comments. He has collected various stories of those who survived the massacre, including those who appeared as a protected witnesses on the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, located in the Hague. Their wish is to publish their stories, their faces and author listened patiently. All stories are carefully positioned, so that we can follow tragedy from the first hours until the end. For a large part consisting of original video material shot by witnesses. The film is full of emotions, focused on survivors, which they can't hide their trauma, even 25 years after the massacre. Through the eyes of the victims, the author wants to show us horrific suffering that war crimes can bring. The problem isn't the trauma. It's that the trauma can't be forgotten. PTSD memories remain horribly intense, bleeding into the present and ruining the future.
