A Dutch detective of Afghan descent, Mardik gets the information stating that his childhood friend Faysal is in the Netherlands. When a terrorist attack occurs the next day, Mardik suspects Faysal and starts to investigate on own behalf.

During an investigation into the murder of a high-ranking official at the Swedish Migration Agency, the main suspect is also found dead, and Jana immediately recognizes something on his scarred body.

When bodies start turning up with a raven bone stuck in their throats as a common signature, two tough investigators, Gabrielle and Clémence, must team up to solve the crimes that are shocking the province... and the world.
