The history of mathematics in a film created for a young audience. In a future in which the society is completely digitized, power is in the hands of a brilliant but heartless leader who has managed to bring most of mankind under his control. A group of rebels (called the foolish) tries to oppose his rule. Their own leader Leonardo lands in prison, where, when he isnt being questioned by the police, he starts to create his own history of mathematics. Euclid, Archimedes, Pythagoras, Descartes and Fibonacci all come to life, revealing the myriad connections between art and mathematics.

The Forced Marriage with Children

This one-episode drama is based on the short story of the same name by Shuhei Fujisawa. It is the story of a young man who is forced to marry a woman he doesn't love. This premiered on TV Asahi in 1987 as part of the "Masterpiece Period Drama" series. Kumazou (Funda Sugawara), a "cleaner" for hire, encounters a woman (Karin Yamaguchi) attempting to commit suicide with her two young siblings one night. Kumazou gives them all the money he has and saves them from jumping off a bridge. The next morning, he wakes up to find that the woman and her sons have invaded his home and settled in.
