Summary An aspiring young fortune teller, Esmeralda, buys a fortune telling machine from Sam the Seller, at an on line auction only to discover that it is possessed by an evil spirit who turns her life into a living hell. When the fortune telling machine begins making terrifying predictions, all of which come true, Esmeralda is falsely accused of a heinous crime that she has not committed and finds herself in jail where she is subjected to beatings and interrogation. Unable to convince anyone that the fortune telling machine houses an evil spirit, she is committed to a mental institution where she is forced to endure cruel treatment and a series of gruesome therapies.
