FALLOUT glimpses at the decimated existences of men and women in the aftermath of a nuclear bombing. The largely nameless characters inhabit a wasteland of junk-strewn garages, abandoned factories and drab apartment blocks - locked in a listless waiting game. Only the ghosts of human dynamics survive, fraught with undercurrents of sexual suspicion and bodily decay. FALLOUT is social fable in the mold of Orwell. It's a nightmarish world - where memories, whether individual or collective, are suspended, and words themselves have disappeared. An allegory for the Polish Communist regime's assaults on individual freedom as well as the identity crisis, personal and national, of the post-Communist era, FALLOUT demonstrates an engagement with Polish cinema from the forties to the punk music videos of the 1970s.

Lila, locked in an abusive relationship and struggling in her job as a forest ranger, sets out to find answers when a series of murders strikes the Native American community in her small mountain town.

Marty & Rebecca's marriage is falling apart, and both are having affairs. As their marriage spirals into oblivion both are caught in their own obsessions of love, lust, & greed. It is these obsessions that lead them and the people around them into a murder plot where things are not what they seem to be and people are not who they claim to be.

The heroes of the film, led by foreman Matvey Doroshenko, decide to fight for the honorary title of communist labor brigade. The guys get to work together. However, the Komsomol members are actively hindered by two people: the cynic Evgeny Levchenko, an unsuccessful inventor and womanizer, and the careerist engineer Kamensky. The Komsomol members believed Evgeniy, but, seeing that his rationalization proposals only caused harm, they brought him to trial before the elder. In parallel, the developing line of Jakov Sereda's adopted son, Miguel. He receives a letter from his parents and goes to his homeland, Spain. There, Miguel tries to win over the churchmen to his side, but he returns to the Soviet Union.
