A man discovers the body of a fifteen-year-old girl washed up in a nearby creek. The young girl is twisted in river debris, donning a wedding dress and fifteen stab wounds in her chest. Unaffected by the site of the tragedy, the man takes to the corpse like a new friend. He sparks a relationship with the young rotting bride. Throughout the course of the macabre relationship, the man realizes that a cold river is no place for a friend to decay. He takes it upon himself to remedy the situation.

A new girl named Lyla comes to a new town and all the guys immediately fall for her, competing to see who can take her to the homecoming dance. Whenever the date she accepts dies, an investigator is brought in to solve the matter of who is the killer and why.
