The Buddha and South Asia
Siddhartha Gautama, most commonly referred to as the Buddha ('the awakened'), was a wandering ascetic and religious teacher who lived in South Asia during the 6th or 5th century BCE and founded Buddhism. According to Buddhist tradition, he was born in Lumbini, in what is now Nepal, to royal parents of the Shakya clan, but renounced his home life to live as a wandering ascetic.

Islam in South Asia
There is neither a monolithic Asia nor a monolithic Islam. The many schisms in Islam emanate from doctrinal issues ( for example between Sunni and Shi'ia), historical, demographics and political ideology. Asia, of course, is a diverse region and Islam across its breadth has taken on different forms, meanings and implications.

Death and rebirth in Hinduism
Examines the complexity and power of Hindu rites of passing for the dead. Explores both the traditional, extremely expensive and the revised rites practiced by the less affluent in India at that time. Reincarnation (punarjanma) is a central tenet of the Indian religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism; although there are Hindu groups who do not believe in reincarnation, instead believing in an afterlife. The Bhagavad Gita discusses various paths to liberation.
