Six vignettes pit an assortment of characters against each other in everyday situations.

A recent college graduate in Columbus, Ohio seeks agency when his girlfriend moves away and Corporate America fails to meet his expectations, with the help of his freewheeling co-worker.

The news causes consternation among the checkout assistants at Discount's, the local supermarket run by Sofia Benhaoui. Not only do they risk being made redundant due to the installation of automatic pay stations but they are also put in competition to determine who will stay who will be fired. The situation is intolerable, which drives several cashiers to react. But what to do?... After a heated debate, Christine (who has economic difficulties), Alfred (the oldest of the group and the most likely to be laid off), Emma (a single mother) and Momo (a young French Arab) agree to their co-worker Gilles'proposal: to steal goods from the supermarket and sell them at a low price in a social grocery of their own.

With this film, Jean-Marie Poire presents the portrait of a generation with lots of humor served by excellent actors.

A collection of alternate takes and deleted material from the Paul Thomas Anderson film Punch-Drunk Love (2002) are compiled and matched with the Jon Brion song "Here We Go" in this plot-less but very interesting short film. This short piece also features more Jeremy Blake artwork that was not included in the film.

The film wryly expresses the changes in hierarchy, caste and the power equation when water, the most important resource, vanishes and how the oppressed become the oppressors. The story is told through two villages which were split based on caste and money but never through water. In the current situation, through reversals of fortune, the old world order has been broken and water becomes the biggest game changer. It has a domino effect on everything from social order to economics, even love and marriage. The film takes a satirical look at respect for resources, caste divides, and rural life against the backdrop of a traditional love story but all set in a realm where water is the new currency.
