Unique to the Bicol region of the Philippines, the little-known Pili Tree has long helped to sustain life for local Bicolanos. The tree provides both fruit and nuts to eat, flammable resin traditionally used for light, heat, and cooking fuel, and from the bark, a popular essential oil, called Elemi.
