After Hades murders two teens, his third victim, Juno, escapes, teleporting through solid steel into an open field where her body is found unconscious. Immediately after, a high-school student, Kali, awakes with a psychic link to Juno and telekinetic powers. Kali's telekinetic powers are first used against her school bully; but they make her a target for Hades who is hunting Kali and Juno as he attempts to overthrow his brother Zeus.

Zeus must free Juno from the underworld or risk losing both Juno and Kali due to their psychic link, but the Underworld has been warded by magic and he cannot enter that realm. Flynn, a mortal, can though, and he suggests that he lead the Zodiac into the underworld to rescue Juno. This is an adventure that will literally bring the Zodiac through hell with Titans, monsters, and Gods like Prometheus. Some of the Zodiac will not return. And ultimately Juno will have to choose between what she knows in her heart to be right and what she wants. Ultimately her psychic link with her twin will save her, her twin, the zodiac, and the world, as they push back the apocalypse.

Boreas sacrifices himself to save Kali, and Kali is only barely saved by Flynn the Sagittarius with the power fire. Flynn takes Kali to the estate where the Zodiac can protect her. The members of the Zodiac are: Andrew (Capricorn), Celeste (Aquarius), Flynn, and Ruby (Taurus). The other 7 members have not yet been awakened by Zeus. Kali is in very poor condition, the psychic link to Juno in the underworld is turning her into an undead minion of Hades. Albeit in the underworld, Juno has received the royal welcome. Hades is turning Juno into a bad ass assassin with the power of teleportation. Hades is a complicated character with more to him than meets the eye. Although Zeus is a benevolent God is an egomaniac and a jackass. The hard lines between traditional good and evil become blurred, and for the first time, Juno is respected.
