Ned and Danni Bourke arrive in the peculiar town of Wormwood, where they discover swamps burping, eggs are coloured blue, and super-size worms are the pillar of the town's economy.
The pond scum used for feeding the worms in Wormwood has vanished, and production of Wormgold is grinding to a halt. Danni sets out to get the worms working again - but instead drives them away.
