In a cinematic two-part story, while taking a winter road trip, a family is stranded in the snow after taking a wrong turn. Husband and wife must then figure out how to survive in the snow and wilderness for nine days with their infant. After her co-worker is taken hostage, a woman takes the co-worker's place and convinces the gunman to surrender. A prepared mother saves herself and her child after a car hits their bike.
