The Miraculous Holy Man
Takeshi Yamato a strong but undisciplined wrestler travels from Japan to India to find the legendary Daibadatta hoping he can train him to be a better athlete Daibadatta who is hundreds of years old is finally dying of old age and has something very different in mind. When he sees Takeshi Yamato he has a vision of him as Rainbowman: Warrior of Love. Takeshi Yamato does not actually become Rainbowman until the end of episode 2. This series is more serial than most tokusatsu series in which each episode is self contained story, ie the bad guys kidnap a scientist at the start and the hero frees him at the end of the same episode and the villain never bother the man again. This series each episode builds on the previous episodes, in fact many episodes end on a cliffhanger, Rainbowman is in danger. The evil Shine Shine Dan actually has 6 evil plans for destroying Japan which are drawn out over the fifty four episodes of the series.
