Shadow People. What are they? Where do they come from? Shadow people are a very common phenomenon, where people see these dark black, generally human-shaped forms. Darker than the night around them. Some of these figures have glowing red, green, or yellow eyes. Some are seen wearing hats or carrying something. Some are solid form. Some have really wispy, foggy edges.. - But what do they want from us? We explore the history and myths around these beings. And share real experiences from people who have witnessed them for themselves, host included.

Near Death Experiences (NDE)
There are people who have died, often traumatically, but were able to be revived. Very often these people have unusual experiences before being revived. These are called Near Death Experiences (NDE). There are commonalities to these experiences, such as seeing the body laying there and watching medical personal working on it. Seeing huge tunnels of light. Seeing loved ones who have passed over and much more. We explore this subject, and we hear of people's experiences, including hosts own father's. And interview a gentleman who runs a large Facebook group for those who have had an NDE.

Reincarnation

Mon, Apr 29, 2019
Reincarnation. Rebirth. Soul Transmitigation. Metempsychosis. All words for a belief system that has been around pretty much since man was able to create records. But what is it precisely. Is it real. If it is, then what does it mean for us in this life. How would knowing this is real, alter our day to day lives? Alter the way we interact and react with people around us every day? We take a look at different belief systems in the world that subscribe to the notion of reincarnation as a basic tenant of their belief systems. We will also hear of children's reincarnation stories, particularly following the 911 tragedy.

Things that Go Bump in the Night
Ghosts, spirits, hants, poltergeist, specters, all names for people that have died, but for one reason or another chose to remain around this realm of existence. Some do so because they have unfinished business. Some because they fear to move on, perhaps because of mistakes they made in this life, or how their life ended. But, for whatever reason these beings remain they sometimes haunt the living, often creating fear and terror in those who experience them. We hear experiences of people just like you or I, who have been witnesses to such events. Some of these stories are touching. Some will definitely leave a chill up your spine.

Skinwalkers

Fri, May 10, 2019
Skin walkers, ee naaldloosh, bear walkers, ishkitini. These are names given by Native American cultures to a type of harmful medicine person, who has the ability to turn into - or disguise themselves as an animal. Most often in the form or shape of coyotes, wolves, foxes, cougars, dogs, bears, and sometimes even ravens or owls. In the Navajo culture, they are the skinwalkers or ee naaldloosh. Very real, very malevolent beings with the ability to harm and bring misfortune to their victims. We will be hearing people's experiences with these beings. Along with an interview of a native Navajo person, whose voice and identity has been hidden as it is forbidden to talk about these beings for fear of attracting them to you. This guest tells of their experiences growing up on the reservation at the foot of a grandmother who was a medicine woman and experiencing these beings in their life.

The Taniwha

Thu, May 16, 2019
Every country in the world. Every culture in the world has its stories of unexplained monsters. Monsters that can be very dangerous to humans, malevolent, nasty. Also of others who are more benevolent, even protective of groups of people they see as under their care. But are these stories merely myths and legends? Or do they, in fact, have a basis in reality? We explore a very well known New Zealand monster, called the Taniwha. Even New Zealand children can tell you stories about the Taniwha, that inhabit our oceans, our waterways. That dwell in caves high in the back country mountains. We hear people's actual experiences with these beings, historical and recent. Including one, my own mother had as a teenager with a group of friends in the mighty Waikato River.

The Moehau Man

Sun, Jun 23, 2019
Throughout the world, there are stories and legends of huge, hairy, ape-like creatures that have persisted over the centuries, through retelling of cultural myths and legends. Also, of actual reported sightings of such creatures. These beings go by many different names. In North America, they are called Sasquatch, or the more common name of Bigfoot. Across the ditch in Australia, they are called the Yowie. In the Himalayas and parts of Asia, they are called the Yeti, or the Meh The. So many different names for the same creature, or family of creatures. New Zealand with our geographical isolation is not immune from such a being. We call ours the Moehau Man. He also has other names in New Zealand, dependent on the part of the country he is seen in. Names such as Maero, Matau, Tuuhourangi, Taongina, and Rapuwai. We explore the myths of this creature. Hear actual reported sightings, and finally, interview a guest, Marc Copell, who is has had actually experiences with these creatures and is now in the process of creating a documentary about them.

The Patupaiarehe
Supernatural beings are a part of all cultures worldwide. There are not many, if any, cultures in this world that don't have a version of these inter-dimensional beings. They go by many names - dependent on where in the world they are found. But, there are not only one variety of these beings, there are many. Here are some names, a few of them go by. In Ireland and the British Isles, they are called the Fae, Fairies, Pixies, Leprechauns, the Seelie or Unseelie. . . . Here in New Zealand, there are two basic types called the Patupaiarehe which are land-based beings and the Pona-Turi which are sea-based beings. But, dependent on where in New Zealand they are found, they go by different names. They are also called Patuparehe, Paiarehe and Parehe, Turehu, Korakorako, Tahurangi and Heketor. We cover the history of New Zealand interaction with these beings and actual interactions people here have had with these folk. Both historical and recent.

Paranormal Investigations with James Gilberd
Old buildings, deserted for many years. Or relatively new buildings, both homes and businesses, or medical institutions and even land, have been known to have ghostly inhabitants. Inhabitants that can scare and disturb the people who currently live, or work in these places. Because of this, there are a rare group of people who make it their mission to seek out such places, such haunted locations. There can be many reasons for this. James Gilberd is one such person. He talks about his experiences as a paranormal investigator and about the book he co-authored, and about his group's experiences while on investigations.

A Glitch in the Matrix: A Holographic Reality?
We take a close look at what has commonly become referred to as "glitches in the matrix" after that famous Matrix movie starring Keanu Reeves. These are experiences that have left people scratching their heads and wondering what just happened to them. With no logical explanation that can be found for it. We a very brief excursion into the world of holograms, and the holographic universe theory. Of quantum physics and the brightest brains in these areas in the world, who suggest that this world is, in fact, a holographic reality. Then we look at the Mandela Effect and how living in a holographic reality that has parallel dimensions could possibly explain this. We share experiences that people like you have had, that they simply cannot explain.

Music of the Plants
Former guest Gary Cook returns to talk with us about his ongoing research with plants and how we and nature are totally interconnected on so many levels. He discusses how plants communicate with each other, as has been discovered in recent scientific research. Gary is a very well known New Zealand, and Internationally Published author, favourite guest lecturer and documentary maker. And, he talks in his beautiful, rambling way, sharing his experiences as he talks, about how nature is such a vital part of our life and how we as a species have become plant blind. How we rarely even notice the plants that are around us anymore. He discusses how plants not only communicate with each other, but can communicate with us as well.

Music of the Plants - Part 2
In the first part of Music of the plants, my guest Gary Cook took us on a gentle stroll, talking about the wonderful world of the plants, and trees around us. He talked about 'Tree Blindness', what that is, and how the term came about. He talked about tree energies and how they worked together, to both support each other, and humanity as a whole. We also had snippets of beautiful, and sort of haunting music a tangelo tree, and a pounamu or New Zealand greenstone, created. Yes, you heard that correctly. That they created. We conclude our discussion with Gary explaining the music of the plants. How this music is obtained from them, and how the specific electrical technology came about, to be able to do so. He also shares snippets of music created by these plants and shows an example of how they respond to music being played to them, but creating matching harmonies.

A Forest Encounter
Forestry is one of New Zealand's main export industries, and so we have many, many small and large crews working in the bush, as we say here in New Zealand. Very often these work sites are deep into the forest lands and quite isolated from nearby towns or cities. Some even hours of driving away. Their very geographical isolation causes these groups, who generally camp on the work site in these cases, to become a tight, close-knit working whanau, or family. Sometimes the world of us humans and the world of the Elemental, inter-dimensional beings clash, as in this case. What happens then? Is this a good experience for the human, or is it possibly not? And what would you do if you were in such a situation, where you came across such a being? How would you react? What would you do? And, how would this be experienced for you? My guest has requested to remain anonymous and I have respected their wish. This guest shares their experiences with us, that happened whilst they were working deep within the heart of a specific area of the New Zealand forest.

Listeners Speak
A little while ago I received an email from a listener in the United States, his name was Rob. He initially emailed me stating that he had an experience when he was visiting New Zealand, that he would like to share and get my opinion on. So, he shared with me a story of an experience that he had with the Patupaiarehe - or the New Zealand Fairy folk, during a visit to the Waitomo district, on the North Island of New Zealand. It is a long, but very interesting experience, and he also has a photo of the spot he felt he was being observed from, that shows something anomalous. The photos are on the podcast's website. I also share feedback sent in from listeners like yourself and share a little about myself, your host. As I had not done this when the podcast was started 20 episodes ago to round off this my first season of this podcast.
