At the initiative of Nath, the brand new girlfriend of their friend Laurent, an environmental activist, Thomas, Marc and Aude are dragged into a punitive expedition in a cosmetics laboratory. Following unfortunate incidents, lightning strikes Thomas and causes a mysterious burn on his arm. The next day, Thomas is stunned and wakes up transformed into a girl... Fortunately, a few minutes later, he becomes a boy again. But what happened? Panic takes hold of Thomas, especially since he has always thought that girls came from another planet. Justin, Thomas' little brother, and Aude, his best friend, are let in on the secret. They alone can help Thomas hide this strange phenomenon.

Thomas, very disturbed by what happened to him, understands that his transformations into a girl are caused by a shock on the burn made in the lab. In these conditions, there is no way he will face the start of the school year this year. He tells lie after lie and even pretends to have a contagious disease to the high school principal to escape it. Accompanied by Aude, he goes to a doctor to try to understand what is happening to him, but finally, prefers to keep his secret and runs away while a new metamorphosis is announced. Thomas understands that he will now be forced to live with this new "power". This boy, who had very fixed ideas about the female sex, will have to learn everything about girls to make his female double, whom Aude has named "Emmanuelle", more and more credible.

Finally back at high school, Thomas falls head over heels in love for the first time in his life. It's Ally, a high school senior. His friends overwhelm him with good advice on how to seduce her. He puts them into practice and tries to meet her, but what is already difficult when you're a somewhat uptight young teenager can become extremely complicated when you also have to deal with transformations into a girl. As for Aude, she is determined to help him master his new girlish appearance. And first of all, solve the all-important problems of clothes and makeup. Accumulating clumsiness upon clumsiness, Thomas, who is decidedly too shy, fails to get Ally to notice him. But having an asset that the other boys don't have, he will now use his female double to better understand the opposite sex.

To earn some pocket money, Thomas tries to find a little job. But his attempts lead nowhere. Having even been rejected as a boy for a babysitting position, he ends up transforming himself into a girl to get the job. He quickly discovers that it is not so easy to look after a little pest named Lola, and to cope with a baby's diapers. Fortunately, his friends are there and come to his rescue when he loses one of the two children. Everything could be back to normal if Aude had not lost her diary where Thomas's whole story is told in the smallest details.

Aude only has eyes for Bastien, a football player whom she introduces to Thomas. But following an unexpected metamorphosis of Thomas, Bastien meets his female double, Emmanuelle, with whom he falls in love. Things are not going well in the group of friends, because if Aude is furious with Thomas, Nath, for her part, is in the middle of a jealous crisis with Laurent. To get rid of Bastien and regain his best friend's trust, Thomas must learn from Emmanuelle how girls dump boys they don't want. With this progress in female psychology, Thomas also decides to play marriage counselor and tries to reconcile Nath and Laurent.

Since he turned into a girl, Thomas's school results have become disastrous. His parents are even summoned by the headmistress. When they come home and surprise their son disguised as a girl (Justin has in fact decided to use Emmanuelle to win a competition organized on the Internet), they understand that it is high time to act: Thomas will therefore go see a shrink. Overcoming his anxieties, Thomas will confide all his problems to the shrink who, she, is far from being able to bear the revelation. With the help of his brother Justin, Thomas' parents end up concluding that it is a classic teenage crisis. Thomas can finally breathe, especially since he wins, for the first time in his life and this, thanks to his female double, the competition on the Internet.

Emmanuelle unintentionally saves Ally's grandmother's handbag by scaring off a thief. Ally decides to publish an article in the high school newspaper about this "modern-day heroine." To Aude's great displeasure, Thomas uses Emmanuelle to spend some time with Ally and answer an interview. The publication of the article causes Thomas to gain unexpected notoriety, who introduced himself as Emmanuelle's best friend. While Thomas appreciates this change of image, it quickly turns into a nightmare when Emmanuelle is invited by Thomas' parents who are convinced, ironically, that their son is going out with this charming young girl. Thomas absolutely must destroy the ideal image he has created to fall back into a slightly more secure anonymity.

Thomas, more and more in love with Ally, will use Emmanuelle's appearance to join his girls' club, all fans of the television series "Spy Witches" although Aude tries in vain to oppose it. He has indeed decided to use his female double to learn more about Ally's tastes and preferences and thus succeed in seducing her more easily. Thomas' attempts to attract Ally's attention end in a rather catastrophic way. Against all expectations, it is thanks to his father and a memorable presentation of his unusual profession at high school that Thomas first arouses Ally's interest.

Thomas, who accompanies Aude to a casting of singers for a TV show, involuntarily transforms into Emmanuelle. The two girls are selected. They prepare together for the final selection and swear not to betray each other. For her part, Nath, feeling abandoned by her parents, takes the upcoming birth of her little brother very badly. Aude falls ill, Thomas, in the guise of Emmanuelle, refuses to give up on presenting himself to the selection. He does not want to let such an opportunity pass him by. Things are not going well between Thomas and Aude who feels betrayed. But Thomas quickly realizes that he cannot do without Aude, his faithful confidante. Faced with Nath's discomfort, the group of friends strengthens its bonds, and Thomas, finally, prefers friendship to fleeting success.

Thomas is furious to receive (forced and coerced by his parents) an English correspondent, especially since the latter turns out to be a girl. He behaves like an insufferable spoiled child and is detestable with his correspondent, Karen. Faced with the latter's perfect understanding with Aude, Thomas is a little jealous and takes on the appearance of Emmanuelle to share the girls' little secrets. What a surprise to discover that Karen is ultimately much better and much funnier than he thought and that she even has a weakness for his male double. He can't believe that a girl is looking at him differently for the first time. This time, Thomas will have to overcome his shyness before it's too late.

Laurent has a brilliant idea to finally realize his big project: make a fortune before the age of 18. The group of friends will try to sell a reality TV show project to a producer. Nath is opposed to this "stupid" project. During rehearsals, Thomas falls heavily and breaks his arm. Surprise. The shock does not cause any transformation, and the process seems to have definitively disappeared. After the joy of this realization (finally free!), Thomas begins to miss Emmanuelle, especially since he could have won the young female writers' competition with her. Will he manage to bring back in time his female double who taught him so much and who he now misses? For her part, Nath is determined to teach Laurent a good lesson.

Thomas is almost jealous of Emmanuelle's popularity , especially when he notices that his friends forget to wish him a happy birthday. He decides to take part in a planned weekend in the mountains in his female form to get revenge on his friends and ruin their weekend. But Emmanuelle, faced with the suspicions of Luc, a friend invited for the weekend, must be careful not to be discovered. Having juggled his two identities throughout the weekend, Thomas finally realizes that he went a little too far with his friends and discovers the true meaning of friendship.

Marc, Thomas' best friend, has a confession to make: he is in love with Emmanuelle and demands that Thomas set him up on a date. Thomas is devastated. The situation only gets worse because Thomas' parents and the high school principal are starting to think that this weird Emmanuelle is going too far. Life is becoming more and more difficult for Thomas who no longer knows how to deal with his dual identity. So he decides to tell Marc the truth, who reacts very badly. Thomas sees only one solution to get his quiet, normal teenage life back: to get rid of this decidedly too cumbersome female double once and for all. Fortunately, Marc, Aude and Justin will be there and will manage to prevent Thomas from committing the irreparable.
