A squad of Treasury Department agents, headed by "The Chief", go after counterfeiters and other criminals who commit crimes that fall under the Treasure Department's jurisdiction.
A lady jeweler smuggles gold across the border by casting it into hubcaps and car handles. The Treasury is on to her from the start as she's living far above her apparent means of income as stated in her tax returns, and after apprehending her chauffeur, the Chief convinces him to allow agent Gonzales to take his place for the next trip to Mexico.
