The National Education Association has reported that the U.S. is failing to develop two-thirds of its top potential brainpower. In an attempt to find out why this is true, "Twentieth Century" visited a high school in Bridgeport, Conn. Today's hour-long film records this visit to Warren Harding High School.
"Riot in East Berlin" shows, via films smuggled out of Communist Berlin and newsreel footage, what it is like to live in a Soviet Satellite State. The program culminates with the riots of June 17, 1953.
