The Addams Family enjoy their favorite holiday but are surprised when a robber interrupts the festivities. Unfortunately for the thief, the family enjoys being robbed more than Halloween itself.
Wednesday recites an incantation and accidentally brings Cousin Vlad Addams back from the dead. He plans to kill Gomez and marry Morticia but is thwarted in his attempts. As Gomez becomes despondent over the thought that Morticia might be accepting Vlad's advances, the family plots to send Vlad back to the grave.
Gomez and Morticia are nervous for Wednesday and Pugsley when the school board insists they attend public school. After returning home upset over the death of a dragon in Grimm's fairy tales, a representative from the school visits the Addamses to straighten out how their children should be educated.
Fester lapses into depression after being dumped by his girlfriend Cruella. The family helps him out by getting him a mail-ordered bride. Just to make sure the relationship works, Mama mixes up a love potion which Wednesday administers.
Newlyweds Hubert and Amanda Peterson move into the house next door to the Addams' house. As the Peterson get to know their peculiar neighbors, they desperately try to get out of their lease.
Grandpapa Addams comes to visit while his neighborhood undergoes construction. Having noticed how much Grandpapa misses his late wife, the family decides to surprise Grandpapa with a two week vacation at Club Dead. Grandpapa mistakenly thinks he is being sent to a nursing home and goes out of his way to prove his youthfulness to the rest of the family.
Puglsey pilfers one of his parents' love letters to give to a teacher he has a crush on. The teacher visits the Addams home and mistakenly believes that Gomez wrote the letter. She begins to fall in love with him and Gomez must come up with a way to let her down gently.
Cousin Melancholia comes to the Addams home after her fiancée leaves her at the altar. Everyone searches high and low for a new suitor for Melancholia and after several unsuccessful attempts, the family lawyer is coerced into courting Melancholia.
After Wednesday gives classmate Harold Pomeroy a black eye for claiming his family is better than hers, Harold's pretentious father Cecil pays the Addamses a visit for an apology. Meanwhile, the Addamses hire a professor to research their genealogy.
Cousin Itt takes refuge in the Addams home after his girlfriend kicks him out and he loses his entire fortune at the roulette table. He tries to get a job at a fast food restaurant, a hair salon, an office, and finally a zoo before finding the right career to help get him back on his feet.
Wednesday fails an art assignment for painting a black rainbow. Her teacher, Miss Crank, cautions that Wednesday may fail art if she refuses to use color. Gomez hires world famous artist Leopold DaMinci as an art tutor but ends up with a pizza delivery man named Leo DaMinci instead. Meanwhile, Mama enlists Fester's help when she falls in love with the mailman.
It's Thing's birthday but unfortunately none of the Addamses remember. To top it all off, Thing is accosted by the family for opening Fester's mail without permission. Thing runs away and the stress of his disappearance causes Fester to start growing hair on his head.
Gomez and Morticia celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary by telling Wednesday and Pugsley the story of how they met. Years ago, Gomez was betrothed to a blonde and waif-like woman named Ophelia, despite having no affection for her. Complications arose when Gomez met Ophelia's sister Morticia and fell in love at first sight.
Gomez and Morticia continue the story of how they came to be married. Gomez struggled with how to get out of his arranged marriage to Ophelia and both Cousin Vlad and Cousin Itt became involved in the dilemma.
The police detain Wednesday for setting 20 starving alligators loose in the sewers. Gomez and Morticia ground her for cruelty to animals. Wednesday can't handle being forced to give up her weapons and methods of torture, so she runs away from home.
Gomez dusts off an old play he wrote so that Cousin Itt can star in it. He hires Director Ed Lumet, who hasn't worked in 15 years. Morticia attempts to make Itt speak more intelligible.
A psychology article by Pierre Le Blanc convinces Fester that Gomez and Morticia need to argue to keep their marriage alive. After failing to get them to fight, he calls in the help of Le Blanc himself.
Fester's prison pen-pal Ginger is coming to visit, but he's told her he looks like George Clooney and is a triathlete. The family calls in Max Shatner, Toupee to the Stars, to help Fester look the part.
Lurch is reluctant to attend the Butler's Costume Ball because of the disaster that occurred the last time he tired to dance. Gomez, Fester, and a hired dance instructor do their best to teach Lurch how to cut a rug.
The family is horrified when Pugsley joins the Junior Troopers and cleans the entire mansion. Morticia seeks help from Dr. Bloodman, who suggests that they indulge the boy.
When Cousin Melancholia and her fiancee Digby visit, Fester sets out to prove that Digby is only after her money. At the same time, Gomez is training for the Transylvanian Decathlon.
The entire family donate items for the annual charity auction. Fester refuses to give up his Iron Maiden and hides inside. Pugsly can't live without his tiger-head clock, so his parents have to buy it back.
After learning of the stock market crash Morticia mistakenly believes that the Addams family is broke after listening in on key parts of her husband trying to purchase a tomb. She and the rest of the family all try to find jobs, with varying degrees of profit and success.
Don Xavier Francisco de la Mancha Molina arrives with his daughter Consuela and her chaperone Maria. Gomez had proposed to Consuela when he was ten, but has long since forgotten about that. The Don has not.
Pugsley's believe in Santa Claus is shattered by the "Fat Man at the Gap", so a plan is hatched to have Uncle Fester dress up as Santa to get Pugsley out of the dumbwaiter.
Insecure insurance salesman Fielding sells Gomez a new life insurance, which upsets his boss, as Gomez puts his life in danger constantly. Fielding gets Morticia to convince Gomez to mend his ways. Bereft of excitement, Gomez starts to age rapidly.
Uncle Fester has lost his electrical charge. Nothing helps: not an electrician, a moon bath or trying to catch lightning. He ends up in the emergency room of a hospital.
Gomez suspects Mortica of being in love with her old childhood friend Damien. He and Fester decide to hire a maid to distract Damien, with Lurch away on a surfing vacation.
Morticia is encouraged to take up home decorating and gets her first job from Mrs. Drysdale. The rest of the family helps with the total make-over while Drysdale is away on business for two weeks. Mrs. D has even invited a reporter from Superior Interiors magazine for the unveiling.
Two aliens take forms based on those they saw on TV broadcasts from Earth to locate a power source they need to power their ship. Their readings take them straight to the Addams mansion.
An explosion caused by Fester and Pugsley causes Sam to crash his motorcycle. Wednesday insists they nurse him back to health while Fester fixes the teen's bike.
In need of artistic fulfillment, Morticia takes up sculpting. Gomez, who won't have Morticia's heart broken, gets Sandy Warhol, a seedy art dealer, to buy it with Gomez's own money. When Warhol commissions more sculptures, Morticia spends all of her time chiseling away and completely neglects her family.
Gomez runs for Mayor. The current Mayor and his aide sneak into the Addams house to look for dirt. Wednesday and Pugsley dig up dirt on the Mayor instead, which makes Gomez decide to throw the election.
Lurch inadvertently becomes a pop-music star and takes a six-month tour in a Ghoulapalooza. Jeeves replaces him as an official butler to the Addams. Everyone pleases Jeeves except Thing.
Gomez and Morticia feel that Fester and Grandmama have been spoiling the children. So they ask Grandpapa Addams to look after the kids during their holiday.
Having been expelled from every public and most of the private schools in the city, Wednesday and Pugsley enroll in Warbridge Military Academy. Lurch looks after Thing who's recuperating after Lurch inadvertently stepped on it.
Cousin Itt is summoned to take a new family portrait. Pugsley befriends a runaway chimp, then gets lost in a hidden passage while the rest of the family thinks Grandmama's spell has turned him into a chimp.
Feeling neglected, Fester joins the Global Mercenaries. Meanwhile Wednesday is being stalked by a black cat, but none of her relatives ever catch sight of the feline.
Next door neighbors the Fletchers threaten to sue the Addamses the next time Festerr's explosives damage their house. Fester takes them up on it, insisting the case comes before Judge Debbie, whom he has fell in love with the moment he saw her holding court on her TV show. Meanwhile, Wednesday fears she's losing the gift of torturing Pugsley.
Disturbed by the fairy tales her children are about to perform at school, Morticia decides to write her own play. It's Gotcha week, so Fester and Gomez are competitively pulling practical jokes on each other.
The girl Lurch met during his Hawaiian vacation is coming to visit him, and he told her he's rich. Gomez and Morticia pretend to be his staff while the rest of the family stay at the Hotel De La Posh.
