Chun-Doong can't quite bring himself to kill Gwi-Dong's father, Lord Kim, at the height of the insurgency. Ten years later, the two have returned to where it all started, but it's clear that one of them has yet to grow up; Gwi-Dong has yet to mature despite his commission as a police officer, while Chun-Doong travels the world as a merchant -- but it's clear that he yearns to be something more. Many things have changed in the village, but others have actually stayed the same: The disparity between rich and poor remains, and there are more than enough people who are willing to resort to violence on behalf of the oppressed.
