Kika Silva is the host of a new TV show that addresses a topic that is critical to our own survival on the planet. Because in nature, every living being fulfills an irreplaceable function, but unfortunately there are species in the world and also in Chile that are at risk of disappearing. However, not all is lost. A team of specialists is making enormous efforts to prevent this and this is what we will see in this new TV series The Ark Project. In the first episode, Kika Silva will go in search of Darwin's fox, a unique species that inhabits the Chiloé archipelago.

Kika Silva and a team of experts arrive at La Parva, a few kilometers from the Metropolitan Region, in Santiago (Chile), to look for a species in the central Andes that is highly threatened by human intervention in its habitat, the La Parva toad.

In this episode of The Ark Project we go back to our country to go to Pichidangui. Host Kika Silva will go to meet Humboldt penguins in their natural habitat. A species that inhabits the coasts of Chile and Peru and is in a vulnerable state, due to trawling, marine pollution and global warming.

Kika Silva arrives at Torres Del Paine National Park to look for the lion of the Andes, the ghost of the mountain: the Puma. This mountain lion, which has been gradually disappearing from the Central Zone of our country, lives today under threat due to urban growth and the deterioration of its natural habitat, which is being increasingly depleted by mining companies and hydroelectric projects.

We are in search of the rare coscoroba swan, inhabitant of wetlands and lagoons that are drying out or contaminated with rubbish, mainly plastic, which intoxicates the organism of these migratory birds. Where they are and how we can protect them, we found out together with Kika Silva and The Ark Project.

In this episode of The Ark Project, we go in search of the colo colo cat. Kika Silva will take us to the National Zoo where we will meet three specimens of this species that will leave us wondering if it is possible to return them to nature. In addition, we will also attend the operation of a Mora Eagle wounded with a shotgun blast.

Kika Silva invites us to get to know the strange leopard lizard, a very particular species that has adapted to live in the Andes mountain chain, but which like many native fauna is threatened by urban expansion, river pollution and the disappearance of the flora that propitiates the persistence of this species.

Kika Silva travels to meet a small protagonist whose existence on the planet is in serious danger. It is Darwin's frog, whose few specimens only live in some temperate forests of Chile. Kika Silva traveled to the South of Chiloé in search for this tiny amphibian, in order to understand its importance and what we can do to prevent its disappearance.

Together with Kika Silva we will visit the National Zoo's Condor Conservation Program and witness the exciting release of one of these emblematic birds into the Andes. The growth of the city, especially in previously undeveloped high altitude areas, is limiting the hunting range of this species which is a national emblem and putting its existence in danger.

Kika Silva, together with various specialists, will show us the efforts made to return a chungungo, a small sea otter that lives today threatened by the acidification of the Pacific Ocean and the deterioration of the shallow sea floors, to its habitat. We will also meet the fastest bird on Earth, which is part of the zoo's conservation program.

In The Ark project, with Kika Silva, we will get to know an insect that plays a fundamental role in our ecosystem, the so-called mother of the snake. We will also learn more about the culpeo fox, the second largest living canid in South America and now under threat. Finally, we will go into the story of a tucuquere, an owl that arrived at the zoo without being able to fly and that today faces a complex rehabilitation to be liberated.

Kika Silva will go in search of the last specimens of the Volcano Grunting Lizard, which lives in the Cajón del Maipo, very close to the Metropolitan Region, in Chile. We will also meet a small bird of prey that arrived at the National Zoo after crashing into a window. The specialists will see if it is possible to return it to its natural habitat.

Together with Kika Silva we will go to Chiloé to meet the smallest deer in Chile: the pudu. We will see what its threats are and what we can do to save this native species. In addition, at the National Zoo we will see the rehabilitation of three Chilean marsupials, which are characterized by their short development in the mother's womb.

Together with Kika Silva we will go in search of the Chilean iguana, a strange reptile with very bright colors that has been preyed upon for years to sell it as a pet. In the zoo of Santiago we will meet a spider monkey that was rejected by its mother and had to be raised by the veterinarians. We will also learn about the important mission of the tucuquere, a type of Chilean owl, in pest control.
