Den förbjudna gangsterrappen
In England gangster rap is censored. There, they have connected the music with gang violence in the country as several lyrics are about real people who have been murdered and are believed to contribute to the violent development. Some rappers are no longer allowed to rap about certain things or move freely in society as a way of trying to calm the gang conflict. Is it the right way to go? Edit's Johannes Cakar goes to London to meet some of the heaviest artists in the genre - who have been censored. He also meets a mother whose 14-year-old son was murdered in a gang war. Afterwards, both the boy and herself were mocked in rap songs. Is the censorship silencing stories from reality or is it crime prevention work?
