The Hunter/Little Runaway
Holidaying with his parent's Clark is called off time and time again to help out as Superman. From the Phantom Zone, General Zod and his companions successfully create a creature they call The Hunter which comes to Metropolis to destroy Superman. Able to convert itself into any substance it touches, the Hunter converts itself into steel, breaks into the Daily Planet and captures Lois Lane in order to attract Superman. After battling Superman, the creature retreats and is introduced to Kryptonite by General Zod. The Hunter seeks out Lex Luthor, touches his piece of Kryptonite and converts his whole body into the green glowing rock. Another confrontation with Superman sees the Hunter supposedly kill the Man of Steel. However Superman, having given Lois a particular device, had played dead by putting himself into a type of suspended animation, which Lois (using the device) is able to re-awaken him from. Superman destroys the Hunter and uses a Phantom Zone projector to ensure General Zod stays in the Phantom Zone.

In the late 90's, an orbiting Earth space center run by the Earth Defense Force Sky Force has commissioned a ceremony on the "J-Project". Lead by Commander Aya Odagiri who has selected five officials to be exposed to "Birdonic Waves" a newly developed technology that can give a human super abilities. Among the subjects to the project is Ryu Tendoh who is the first volunteer to be exposed to the Birdonic Waves and thus becomes the first nominated member of the newly established Jetman team. The other four subjects were about to be exposed to the same waves as Ryu did until the space center was attacked by the Vyram, an evil outer-dimensional organization bent on inter-dimensional domination. The Vyram successfully destroy the space center along with killing most of the humans on board. After the destruction, the remaining Birdonic Waves that were meant for the now dead four officials got scattered on the surface of the Earth. Hitting four different civilians who were going about their daily lives. Odagiri and Tendoh who had successfully escaped the doom space center soon began searching on Earth for the four remaining humans with Birdonic Waves in order to fully form the Jetman team. Forming the team will be no easy task as the four civilians had no prior training in military tactics and must learn to work together and look pass their personal problems if they are willing to save the Earth from the Vyram which was being lead by the cruel Count Radiguet.

In one of the top ninja schools, three students aren't exactly fitting in. When they skip out a class meeting, space alien ninjas known as the Jakanja infiltrate the school and capture the entire school. Mugensai, their teacher, turns himself into a hamster to run away from the attack. The trio was taken to a secret base by Oboro, Mugensai's daughter and given Hurricane Gyros, devices to become the legendary Hurricanger to fight the threat. As the battles endure two students from a rival school decide to present themselves to the Hurricanger. It happens that the Goraijer has discord with them. If the Goraijer defeat the greatest ninjas, the Hayate Way ninjas, they will become the greatest. The Hurricanger don't understand this, they just want to get along against a common enemy. The Goraijer team up with the Jakanja because they believe they have a common enemy in the Hurricanger. The Goraijer later betray the Jakanja by leaving them and some of them seek vengeance in them. The Hurricanger and Goraijer sort of team up but don't really get along. The Goraijer are very stubborn and think if they are very 'buddy' with the Hurricanger, they are letting go their teachings and pride. After all they go through at the end, they team up and defeat the Jakanja. In this series, there is robot ninjas and organic monsters that our heroes face. The robots are destroyed by the main weapon then the "Copy Giant" is sent to duplicate the image of the fallen machine. When an organic monster is destroyed, it is rebuilt by scroll sent down by Windenu's Bazooka. Later a mask is swinged out to grow the organic ones. Note: The Goriajer finally are credited in the opening credits in Episode 24. Starting with episode 35, they added teasers to the show, before the opening credits. A teaser is a small scene of the episode lasting two minutes and sometimes with catch up material. The previews are shown after one commercial instead of instantly after the credits like before. Also, clips of the next episode of even shown during the mention of sponsors (like Bandai). Before they only used stock footage. Clips of the next episode is also shown with the mention of the Tv-Asahi website instead of the Hurricangers with their umbrellas like before.
