Although the coroner's report stated her brother died in a hit-and-run accident, Susan Williams is convinced he died from foul play. While checking his apartment for notes of the big story he was working on, she finds an address book but is shoved out a high window before she can escape, narrowly escaping death when she fell on a canopy below. Susan convinces her newspaper editor to allow her to follow a lead to Marrakesh, Morocco where she meets an old acquaintance of her brother. While waiting for him in her hotel room, she doesn't realize that a cobra has been released by an assassin and is stealthily approaching her while she takes a bath.
