No one can be born a soldier but can become one. Two friends, who lost contact with each other long ago, unexpectedly meet at the military enlistment office. The city major and the village boy now will serve together in the army. The implementation of civilian debt, as usual, is accompanied by a large number of troubles. The main trouble is "a real colonel". New solders' lives are full of ordinary stories inherent in military life. Sometimes haphazard romantic relationships are happen in the army. Soldiers is a saga about army life, about dramatic changes in a person's life which can produce a piece of official paper called a summons, as well as about the importance of possessing a good breath, about the role of alcohol and football broadcasts on television in the army's life.
