What is wrong with the education of teachers? Most new teachers say they lack the social skills needed to meet the students right. Is there cure for this deficiency?

Freinet's spirit is timeless. Célestin Freinet, village teacher and reform educator in 1920s France is equally relevant in the Swedish school of the 21st century.

How has it really been with the six-year reform introduced in 1998? The idea was to combine the preschool's play and creation with the school's more traditional ways of teaching and conveying knowledge. More than 90 percent of six-year-olds now go in "preschool class", as the school form is called. Has the school managed to adapt to the six-year-olds, or is it the children who have to change themselves to fit in? In the Swedish National Agency for Education's evaluation of the six-year reform in 2001, criticism is directed at how the reform was implemented.
