Petri and the team take a route out on the West Coast past Witsand that was once a wagon road. They camp alongside the Breede River and a guest joins them next to the camp fire
Finishing up their stay in Vleesbaai, they travel alongside the sea and arrive at a luxury camp in Willderness. They then depart for the Eastern Cape on the Jouberts Pass Route.
The team takes the Rooiberg Pass wagon route with its outstanding views and sharp turns which make for an interesting drive, ultimately arriving safely in Calitzdorp.
The team follows the route to Die Leer, a lookout point over Dei Hel, and according to local knowledge this is where the first ox wagon route was taken on.
Still in Die Leer, a lookout point over Die Hel, the team enjoys a restful camp. They then tackle the nerve racking turns going down the pass into Die Hel.
Finally descending out of the pass from Gamkaskloof, the team negotiate steep inclines and hair pin bends on their way to their night stop through Fontein Guest Farm.
