Tom personally brings his son Jan to primary school, where seven parents filed utterly unsubstantiated complaints for child abuse against principal Weistra. Tom tries to reconcile the principle of innocence without proof and parental protective instincts, admirably controlling his own. Meanwhile Tom has to rely for back-up on Masha while answering a distress call from Turkish immigrants. She fails to shoot armed suspect Meral, who stood over the corps of her uncle Kadir, just because that's a deaf girl. She just assumes the killer must be a Turk she saw run away, later identified as Yilmaz.
