Rookie is hit in the head by an object during his walk and the projectile turns out to be a bone. Confused, he looks around and discovers a new little friend, who at first is no fun at all and Rookie has to look for shelter.
Rookie is strolling through his world when he finds a round object with colorful stripes. Curious, he looks at it from all sides and then kicks it lightly with his foot: The thing rolls up a small hill - and back to him again. What fun. Rookie immediately has ideas what else to do with it.
Rookie discovers a small monkey that jumps up and down acrobatically on a trampoline. He tries to imitate him, but only after several attempts our little robot manages to fly through the air with great figures.
During his stroll, Rookie passes a large square object and only notices something moving when he has almost passed it. He slowly goes back and discovers another robot. But when he happily greets his longed-for companion, his hand only bumps into hard glass.
On his tour Rookie meets an elephant that is busy working in his garden. He shows Rookie how to sow and what else you need to grow the most beautiful flowers before they discover what else you can do with water.
On his walk, Rookie discovers a bulky thing with a small plate dangling from two ropes. He examines the construction, but when he tries to sit on it, he falls off backwards. He notices a small spider hanging on a thin thread next to the swing that can hardly hold on for laughter and shows him how great it is to play with a swing.
Rookie stomps through the snow in winter when he hears loud crying and moaning. He discovers a snowman complaining about his friend falling to pieces. Rookie immediately starts to reassemble it.
Happily, Rookie walks along a wall and discovers a cute little cat elegantly balancing on the wall. Rookie watches the cat and then climbs the wall to imitate her. But balancing has to be learned.
On his way Rookie comes to an apple tree and notices that many of the leaves have holes. He examines the tree closely and finds a small caterpillar eating one leaf after the other. Rookie starts to feed the little friend - and experiences a huge surprise.
Rookie is happily going for a walk when suddenly a big balloon flies past him. He chases after it, catches the string of the balloon at the last moment, takes off and floats away. He flies higher and higher and the world gets smaller and smaller - Where will the journey go?
Rookie hikes through the forest and finds rubbish that has been carelessly thrown away. After he has also taken care of a small injured hedgehog, they set out together to clean up the forest.
Rookie collects stones to build a tower. But one of these stones suddenly rolls away as he reaches for it. Rookie wonders and tries again, but again the stone rolls away, hits a tree and cracks - and Rookie experiences a real surprise.
At a distance, Rookie discovers a shape that bears great resemblance to himself. He waves cheerfully, but when his new friend doesn't react, Rookie comes closer to discover that it is a box with buttons - and when he presses one of them, a journey into the world of music begins.
It rustles in the tree. And Rooky doesn't take long to discover the reason for it. A busy squirrel rushes up and down and eagerly buries nuts. Rookie digs up one nut again, but his new friend is not at all amused about this.
Rookie is climbing up a small hill in the snow when suddenly something rushes past him. He turns around and sees a small penguin, which immediately races down the hill again. An enthusiastic Rookie tries to imitate him - but somehow it just doesn't really seem to work out.
Rookie is happily wandering through the world when suddenly a small red dot flashes past him. Surprised Rookie turns around, but there he is again, flying at him from behind. Only after several attempts Rookie succeeds in capturing the wild ladybug. But that one is really hard to keep.
On his exploration tour, Rookie suddenly finds himself in front of a big, shiny rocket. Of course, our curious friend has to take a close look at everything again and flies - 3, 2, 1, Go - to the moon. But once there, his attention turns back to our wonderful blue planet.
Maybe ghosts do exist after all? It's rustling in a bush, but no matter how hard Rookie tries, he just can't find the reason for it. Frustrated he throws a handful of sand - and there - for only a second - you can see a small, cheeky chameleon. But not only his new little friend knows how to hide well.
Cheerfully Rookie is running through the world, when he suddenly stumbles over something. He looks around him and discovers a small black box. He shakes it and looks around questioningly. Carefully he pushes a button - and with a loud roar a small, red car comes speeding along.
A new day, a new adventure. Rookie accidentally bumps into a stone lying on the ground. But this stone turns out to be a snail with its house, which crawls away insulted. Rookie watches it, starts to crawl a little bit next to it and a competition develops - but every time Rookie thinks he has won, the snail has already arrived.
Rookie sits happily on the shore as suddenly eyes stare at him from the water. He stares back and only when they are very close Rookie realizes that it is a crocodile. Alarmed he wants to run away before he understands that the crocodile doesn't want to eat him, but has a terrible toothache.
What is there to discover today? Rookie hears a ringing that gets louder and louder. He looks around and finds an old telephone. At first he hesitates to pick it up before he dares to try and gets to know different voices, sounds and moods. But the ghosts he called will no longer let go of him and the phone just won't stop ringing.
There is nothing better than a day at the sea and Rookie happily rocks through the waves on his boat. Suddenly a dolphin jumps out of the water and in the very next moment his new friend is poking Rooky overboard. Fortunately, robots do not need to breathe, so Rookie can explore the depths of the sea with his new friend.
On his happy tour, Rookie suddenly hears a loud roar and growl before he discovers a huge, roaring shadow on a wall. Rookie is a bit scared, but as the shadow disappears our curious friend carefully starts to explore what it was - and at first is truly scared by his new mini-friend.
Rookie happily walks in a forest and finds a beautiful tree with large pink fruits. When he raises up to take a closer look at the fruits he discovers a very green branch and on closer inspection a snake sleeping comfortably in the sun. He tries to leave quietly, but the snake stops him to teach him all kinds of tricks.
For the finale of the first season, Rookie wanders happily through the world again when he discovers a big, black box. He circles it interested and finally pushes a button - and that changes everything: With every further push, Rookie discovers another world - and finally he sees a robot friend.
