For years the Copenhagen Police had been in search of an unknown, brutal serial killer and rape offender, but only after more than 20 years does the perpetrator make a mistake leading the police on track. Marcel Hansen a Danish serial rapist and twice-convicted murderer was sentenced to life imprisonment for one robbery and one murder by a jury in the Copenhagen City Court on December 22, 2011. Hansen has also been convicted of six rapes, one of them being a quadruple rape, committed from February 16, 1987, to September 25, 2010.
