Their eldest brother Ryo, the chief of police, is busy investigating a serial murder case with his supernatural power, and they have no time to celebrate in their reunion.

Shin is confused by his awakened supernatural power "Persona", but starts a new life. He learns from his new friends that the game Kagenuki is popular in this city. Ryo gives his brothers the cold shoulder, and continues to carry out his own investigation of the case with the support of someone else, which antagonizes some people.

The world begins to distort as human bodies and psyches begin to mismatch. Shin and his friends are asked to form a Persona fighting force to combat the Marebito, the ones behind the Reverse cases, as well as their leader Kujo. It is up to Shin and his Persona to stop the distortion and bring an end to the Marebito and their twisted goals of exploiting Personas.

Ryo saved his brothers and disappeared again that puzzles Shin. Sanada and Inui explain the situation and they ask Shin and his friends to take part in the fight against Marebito. Meanwhile, Detective Ito finds a disc from Ryo to him.
