A new romance between two college students derails when a sadist attacks them during a nighttime walk near the railroad tracks. Only one of the victims survives the attack, and she turns out to be the only survivor of the serial murderer Angel Maturino Resendiz. He become known as "The Railroad Killer" because most of his crimes were committed near railroads, where he illegally jumped on and off the trains he was using to travel within and across the United States, Mexico and Canada. He is suspected in as many as 23 murders in the late 1980s and through the 1990s. Some of his brutal and violent attacks also involved sexual assault.
