Days of the exams for admission at the "Carmen Caragiu" Academy of Arts.

The students meet their teachers: Cristian Romanescu, the acting teacher, who likes to teach naked and, for the first lesson, he asks all students to get naked because this way they will lose their inhibitions, and Edith Dinescu, their dancing teacher, an ex-ballerina. Elena doesn't want to be naked in front of everyone. Matei needs money to pay the school tax, so he stoles a watch to sell it and works at unloading meat trucks. Alexa is upset that her father forgot her birthday, but the next day he sends a motorbike as a present. She decides to sell it to Robert. The students are forbidden to party, so they decide to break the rule.

Matei's tax has been paid, but he accepts to work for Valerica, the school administrator. He manages to bring back Robert's watch, that he stolen to sell. Later, he finds out that Alexa paid his tax with the money from the motorbike. Elena doesn't want to be naked, but she strips after hearing a speech from Carmen Caragiu. Alin is injured in ballet class, the opportunity for the board to find out that he hired someone to do the dance test for him, so they decide to expel him.

Cristian and Vlad see Edith as she exits a night club and don't know what to believe. Elena is jealous at Ana because she picks Matei to be his partner. Matei gets a job as a choreographer and asks the girls to be his dancing group. Edith goes to an A.A. meeting. Cristian decides to throw a party to help Vlad and Diana make up, but they fight again.

Edith continues her AA meeting where she decides against a relationship with Cristi. Robert tells Irina about his child, Sergiu. Carmen Caragiu, the principal, finds out that Matei and the girls took a dancing contract, but she allows them to practice. Cristi, the acting teacher, sleeps with a student, Irina.

An important director rents the school to do a casting for "Grease" production. The winner is Monica, a girl who failed the admission at the Academy, but after an accident created by Matei and Robert she is hurt so Alexa takes her spot. This makes Diana angry because she wanted the part. After the accident, the director, Cezar Boboc, calls the press to criticize the school. Cristi tells Edith that he saw her entering the AA meeting.

Carmen Caragiu decides that the school has a new theme: love. Edith sleeps in the classroom because she can't find an apartment. Diana is upset that she lost the part in Grease, so she takes it on the students. But Alexa quits the play after problems with the director Cezar Boboc who then picks Diana his new star. The dean, Radu Tomozei, is left by his wife, so he wants to quit school.

Cristian proposes the students a "Trust exercise". Matei, Irina and Robert work together until Matei is called by Valerica to help him. An embarrassed movie with Diana appears on line. Two Hungarian dancers are in town for a show, and Valerica has an invitation. But it disappears...

The freshmen have their last rehearsals for their debut show, "Hair", but Radu, who assumes the role of the director, isn't happy with the progress. Carmen decides to change the show after she sees a representation put up by Felix and Matei. Another test for the freshmen is a monologue in front of the older students who throw tomatoes if they weren't satisfied - Alexa has the biggest problems on stage. Carmen tries to help Cristi in his attempts to be with Edith.

Cristian can't finish by himself the puppet show, and Edith helps him. Diana finds out that Vlad teaches Irina in private, and she asks her to execute some difficult dance moves, humiliating her in front of other students. The freshmen have their first show in front of an audience. Matei's father discovers that his son wants to be an actor and is very angry.

The students take their mid-term exams, except for Elena and Irina who are suspended. Diana has her premiere for "Grease" and invites all other teachers, but everybody criticizes her performance. Disapointed, Diana doesn't show up for the exams. Cristi prepares a new surprise for the acting exam: he invites the students at a lake. Elena wants to talk to Matei, but she finds him dancing with Alexa and runs away...

Diana, the modern dance teacher, is fired because she didn't participate to the exams. Matei and Alexa kiss for the first time. In the mean time, Elena falls asleep in Matei's bed, waiting for him. When Matei enters the room, he sees Elena and Robert almost naked and misunderstands the situation. Cristi prepares a romantic dinner for Edith, with candles, and the papers for the theatre exams catch fire.
