Quinkana - Ancient Animal
Quinkana is a genus of crocodilians. The first species appeared in Australia 24 million years ago with three later species growing faster and larger, reaching a weight of half a ton, before going extinct 40,000 years ago. This time period overlaps with human migration to Australian and Quinkana may be represented in aboriginal folklore.

Have Chimps Entered the Stone Age?
Homonids are known to have used modified stone tools such as flint flakes for cutting 3.3. million years ago. Chimpanzees are known to use stone tools today as well as sticks but they have not been observed to modify stones to create more versatile tools. So chimpanzees' use of stone is no more advanced than a variety of other animals such as otters.
