Mr Gerald makes it clear to Mr Mortimer that his interest in Nessie is unabated and it's in everyone's interest that he is kept happy. Vince Holloway is getting more interested in the Mortimer household using his son to spy for him.
The army is deployed on the streets, looters are being shot and a pair of children's shoes costs £350. Mr. Gerald continues to harass Nessie and Mrs Mortimer and law and order starts to break down. Nessie is warned about Vince Holloway being dangerous.
Mr. Gerald threatens to expose Mr. Mortimer and Nessie leaves home to get away from him. Mrs. Mortimer follows her to try and get through to him. Vince Holloway plays his cards to Mr. Mortimer.
Mr. Mortimer barricades the house and Mr. Gerald has left stealing supplies. Anarchy is breaking out and Vince Holloway warns Barry that if his offer is not accepted there will be trouble. Mr. Gerald gets his comeuppance from Vince Holloway.
