Part 1 of 4. The morning of April 29th. When Araragi happens to meet Tsubasa on his way to a bookstore, she has a bandage on her face. Listening to her story, he learns that she lives in a broken family.
Part 2 of 4. April 30th. Araragi visits Meme and Shinobu. He tells Meme that he and Tsubasa found a body of a white cat with no tail, and buried it yesterday. His story upsets Meme.
Part 3 of 4. The night of April 30th. Araragi sneaks into Tsubasa's house and is shook by what he finds. His sisters tell him about a cat-like monster that has been attacking people the past two nights.
Part 4 of 4. The night of May 7th. Shinobu lends Araragi a sword that will enable him to kill the cat possessing Hanekawa. Meme counsels him on how to proceed with his life.
